Keep Him My Heart: A Larrakia-Filipino Love Story
Based on the play of the same name written by Gary Lee and first performed in Darwin in 1993. Keep Him My Heart chronicles a history of Darwin through the Cubillo family, beginning with the marriage of Antonio Cubillo, from Calape, Bohol (The Philippines) and Magdalena (Lily) McKeddie, the daughter of Larrakia woman Annie Duwun and Scotland-born Darwin resident George McKeddie. The play’s performance involved the Darwin Rondalla (under the direction of Bong Ramilo), which revived the Cubillo String Band formed by Antonio Cubillo in Darwin.
